IAAPA 2nd Vice Chair Mario O. Mamon elected as Asian Advisory Council Chairman

Santa Rosa, Laguna (November, 2011) --- Mr. Mario O. Mamon, Chairman and President of Enchanted Kingdom and 2^nd Vice Chair of The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions was recently elected as the association’s chairman of the Asian Advisory Council. The IAAPA Asian Advisory Council recommends direction and strategies on programs for Asian members and in expanding and enhancing the association’s plans and services in the region. 

Acknowledging Asia as the Next Big Destination, an impressive growth and progress are expected in the region’s amusement and attractions industry. And the record-breaking 2011 Asian Attractions’ Expo held last June in Singapore mirrors the significant potential of the business in Asia.

Mr. Mamon is the first Asian Executive to be named to the position of chairmanship. The current 2^nd Vice Chair post will soon elevate him to IAAPA Chairman in 2014. Also the President of the Philippine Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (PhilAAPA), Mr. Mamon is eyeing to sustain placing Asia in the world map of the Amusement and Attractions industry not only through the destinations but more importantly in the adoption of global safety standards and the development of the professionals in the region.
