Enchanted Kingdom Press Release: Enchanted Kingdom joins 19th Travel and Tour Expo “One Stop Shop to the World”

(February 2012, Pasay City) Enchanted Kingdom, together with the country’s major players in the tourism industry were all present in Philippine Travel Agencies Association’s 19^th Travel and Tour Expo last February 17 to 19, 2012 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Travel agencies, airline companies, cruise lines, embassies, hotels and resorts all came out for this once a year event.

The 19^th Travel and Tour Expo paraded the theme “One Stop Shop to the World” that offered a wider variety of travel options and special packages to the general public. With over 450 booths to choose from and more than 60,000 visitors in this three day event, the 19^thTravel Tour Expo was a sure hit for vacationers this upcoming summer. Rock bottom prices and complete and exciting packages were offered to visitors looking for a fun filled  summer with their families and friends.

Enchanted Kingdom once again participated in this year’s Travel and Tour Expo by sharing its magic to all the visitors. In its bright and magical booth, Enchanted Kingdom showcased its array of merchandise to the general public. For this special event, Enchanted Kingdom offered a 4 + 1 Regular Day Pass special promo for only P2,000 which is valid for three months to its visitors. Enchanted Kingdom also offered tickets to The Sleeping Beauty that will be shown on February 25, 2012 at Enchanting Events Place at Enchanted Kingdom. In this year’s Travel and Tour Expo, Enchanted Kingdom won 3^rd Place in the Best Decorative Booth – Domestic Pavilion Category. Once again Enchanted Kingdom wielded its magic.

Refreshingly Magical Moments with Coca-Cola only at Enchanted Kingdom

(Santa Rosa, Laguna ,January 2012) Eldar the Wizard cast a refreshingly red spell at Enchanted Kingdom last January 22, 2012 and added a new color to its colorful history. As the country’s premier and only world class theme park, Enchanted Kingdom will always bring something new and magical for its loyal patrons to enjoy.

          To cast the new magic this year, Enchanted kingdom welcomed its new beverage partner, Coca-Cola. The grand launch dubbed “Refreshingly Magical Moments only at Enchanted Kingdom was a full day of magic. The refreshingly red spell’s effects were only just beginning as it brought life to a grand parade led by Eldar the Wiz and Princess Victoria, EK Mascots, lion and dragon dancers, pandas and terracotta soldiers. The aftermath of the festivities was the Zion Show at the Spaceport concert grounds. The Zion Show wowed the audience as they showed their acrobatic moves. Enchanted Kingdom and Coca-Cola officials, together with EK royalty Eldar the Wiz led the park guests to a ceremonial toast. The famous band Rivermaya emerged to open more happiness to the ears of the guests. Rivermaya rocked the afternoon away by playing their greatest hits from the past decade. The audience danced and sang along as the mood became even more refreshingly magical. The event was capped off with an exciting display of fireworks which completed the refreshingly red spell at Enchanted Kingdom.


   Coca-Cola brought its 100 year history in the Philippines to the magical world of Enchanted Kingdom along with its “Open Happiness” message. Enchanted Kingdom  parties delivered promising messages for a refreshingly and magical partnership for the years to come. A ceremonial toast by both parties sealed the refreshingly red spell at Enchanted Kingdom.

Cenakulo Rock: An Enchanted Kingdom Lenten special

  

    In line with the upcoming Lenten season, Enchanted Kingdom is proud to present Cenakulo Rock, a condensed version of the hit musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Aside from giving world class entertainment and amusement, Enchanted Kingdom wants to give its park guests a time to reflect to commemorate the passion of Christ. This is a one of a kind EK musical special because this is a procession around the park that starts in the Midway Boardwalk, then proceeds to the Brooklyn place and ends in Victoria Park. This musical series will run every Saturday and Sunday from March 3 until April 8 at 5PM. Don't miss out on this musical as EK is proud to present its stellar cast, Rex Flores as Jesus Christ, Vanessa Rangadhol as Mary Magdalene, Janet Lopez, and a special participation of Dr. Cynthia Mamon as Mother Mary.

Be enchanted with Enchante: British Invasion

       In celebration of the coming 2012 London Summer Olympics, Enchanted Kingdom presents Enchanté: The British Invasion. This February, get ready to sing and dance along as EK treats its park guests to the best hits of British music! Expect hits from Rick Astley, The Bee Gees, The Beatles, Spandau Ballet, The Police, Tom Jones, Jessie J, Jay Sean, Rod Stewart, Sugababes, The Eurythmics, Naked Eyes, Tears For Fears and many more. The Enchante British Invasion musical series will run every Saturday and Sunday at the Eldar’s Tent at 6:00 PM starting February 4 until March 31. Enchanted Kingdom celebrates Valentine’s Day with I ♥ EK 2.12.12 Hug-a-Palooza

 Enchanted Kingdom, the country’s premier and only world class theme park celebrated love and magic with I ♥ EK 2.12.12 Hug-a-Palooza last February 12, 2012.

Family, friends and couples were treated to a series of fun filled activities and surprises. DJ Jada and DJ H-Town from Wave 89.1 did the honors of kicking off the Hug-A-Palooza festivities at the Space Port. Prizes from Coca-Cola and Hershey's were awarded to lucky winners of fun games for the most number of barkada members and the couple wearing the best couple statement shirt! Guests were treated to excerpts of the Enchanté: The British Invasion by the EK Circle of Artists in celebration of the coming 2012 London Olympics to start the entertainment for the night. The EK Circle of Artists sang hits from Rick Astley, The Bee Gees, The Beatles, Spandau Ballet, The Police, Tom Jones, Jessie J, Jay Sean, Rod Stewart, Sugababes, The Eurythmics, Naked Eyes and Tears For Fears and many more. MYMP serenaded the guests with their famous love songs. Husbands and wives and couples got to feel the spirit of valentine’s as they sang with MYMP and relived their cherished moments with their partners. 

Enchanted Kingdom also launched The Music of Enchanted Kingdom CD where some of the performers sang the songs featured in the CD. Park guests sang and danced as they relived the tunes that brought back the experience of Enchanted Kingdom’s magic and entertainment.

Eldar the Wizard and Princess Victoria were joined by Mr. Mario O. Mamon, EK’s CEO, and Mrs. Cynthia R. Mamon, EK’s COO, to host the Hug-A-Palooza. Mr. and Mrs. Mamon both gave inspiring and lovely words to park guests. A countdown was initiated which gave excitement to this once a year event. In spite of the weather it was raining hugs all over Enchanted Kingdom. Warm hugs were shared among love ones and friends as the Mamon family gave away Hersheys Nuggets and I ♥ EK button pins to the audience that spread sweetness and love to park guests. To tone down the night, Ian Jacinto and the Siblings went up the stage to give park guests soothing and relaxing music. Enchanted Kingdom sure knows to spread magic with a sprinkle of love.

Enchanting Tunes: The Music of Enchanted Kingdom CD

Santa Rosa, Laguna (February 2012) It was indeed magical as Enchanted Kingdom formally launched The Music of Enchanted Kingdom CD. Held last February 12, 2012 at the Eldar’s Tent, the media launch was the first event to kick off the celebration of I ♥ EK 2.12.12 day. EK’s CEO, Mario O. Mamon started the event with his opening remarks. He stated that the launch of Enchanted Kingdom is a celebration of love and happiness that every park guest experiences at Enchanted Kingdom. This was followed by a series of production numbers by EK’s Circle of Artists. Vocally talented Grace Que was sang “It’s a wonderful world” followed by young talents Vanessa Rangadhol, Carissa Faustino, Via Gomez singing the classic song “I can”.  Another highlight of the event was the audio visual presentation of the composers of the songs featured in CD, such as Gary Valenciano, Louie Ocampo, Charo Unite and Tats Faustino. The Music of Enchanted Kingdom CD project started only as a vision of owners Mario and Cynthia Mamon. They wanted to come up with a compilation of songs that would reflect the advocacies of Enchanted Kingdom. “Finally, that dream is now realized”, said EK's COO Cynthia Mamon. Everyone can now bring home with them the tunes and magic of Enchanted Kingdom! The Music of Enchanted Kingdom CD is available at all souvenir shops at the park for a reasonable price of 300 pesos and will be available at Astro Vision and Odyssey outlets in March.

Ballet Philippines’ Sleeping Beauty Premieres at Enchanted Kingdom

It has been 23 years since Ballet Philippines staged a full-length version of “The Sleeping Beauty.” This February 25, they awaken Enchanted Kingdom’s park guests with the magical ballet’s resplendent sets, costumes, and of course, its outstanding dancing

The most prestigious ballet company, Ballet Philippines is set to stage another world-class dance masterpiece at the country’s first and premier theme park – Enchanted Kingdom. Led by artistic director Paul Alexander Morales, the beautiful ballet The Sleeping Beauty will be a treat to all park guests on February 25 at the Enchanting Events Place (EEP) at 5:00 PM.

This timeless and classic fairytale production will retell the story and the curse of the beautiful princess Aurora, her lilac fairies and the promise of a true love’s kiss. The Sleeping Beauty will enthrall kids and kids at heart to rekindle their childhood’s imagination and interests.

In the ballet, the infant Princess Aurora is christened with all the royal guests and fairies in attendance—except for the dark fairy Carabosse. She storms into the castle, furious at the royal family for not inviting her. In her spite, she marks Princess Aurora with an untimely death—that is, until the good Lilac Fairy steps in to soften the curse. “Yes, she will grow up and prick in finger on a spindle,” she mimes gently, “But instead, she will fall into a long, deep sleep and will be awakened by the kiss of true love.”

Choreographed by classical ballet legend Marius Petipa to Peter Tchaikovsky’s music, The Sleeping Beauty will be performed by award-winning ballerina Katherine Trofeo as Princess Aurora and EJ Arisola as the Prince.. .

The ballet, The Sleeping Beauty, is considered the epitome of classical ballet. Ballet Philippines’ production stays with the tradition, but promises to make the staging fresh and updated. The storytelling will be made more brisk and there will be some tweaks in character interpretation.

Ballet Philippines’ dancers are all in agreement that this ballet is challenging, while balletomanes look forward to celebrating the best of classical ballet.

For ballet first-timers, The Sleeping Beauty is the best way to get their feet wet in the magical world of ballet. Familiar because of the cartoon and its music, but new in its storytelling language and interpretation, audiences are bound to delight in this rare, royal feast.

Celebrate 2012 Enchinese New Year at Enchanted Kingdom
