The
dark velvet Enchanted Kingdom sky was lit up in different magical colors on
October 20, 2012 at Santa Rosa, Laguna. In celebration of their 17th Anniversary,
the country's world-class theme park hosted one of the biggest fireworks
competitions in the nation.
This
year, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Korea and China competed for the grand
finals of the 3rd Asian Sky Wizardry. The same day, the guests of
Enchanted Kingdom stopped and stared momentarily at a once in a year event they
can only experience in EK.
The
splash of colors in the evening horizon which were fired and displayed by the five
competing countries were judged by Bro. Armin Luistro FSC, Secretary of
the Department of Education; Benito C. Bengzon, Jr., Assistant Secretary of the
Department of Tourism; Carlos Dolendo, Chief of Staff of Gov. Jeorge “E.R.”
Ejercito Estregan of Laguna; Andrew Lee, Vice President of the International
Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions for Asia Pacific; Arnold
Arcillas, Information Technology Head of Santa Rosa, Laguna; Guillermo Aponte,
President of Coca-Cola Exports Corporation; William Schultz, Chief Executive
Officer of Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines; Brian Walker Smith, Vice President
for Sales of Prime Play in Asia Pacific; Jose Javier Reyes, high-caliber film
director in the Philippines and Raymund Isaac, a top-notch fashion photographer
in the country.
As
the guests swayed with the music and stared in awe at the fireworks
display, the judges sealed their decisions as they awarded Korea as the 2nd
runner-up, Philippines as the 1st runner-up and China as the grand
winner.
The
event was hosted by emcees Nicole Asensio and Borgy Manotoc.
Indeed,
Enchanted Kingdom celebrated their 17th year with class and magic as
it imparted its festivities in the sky.
