This year, Enchanted Kingdom
partners with the Tourism Congress of the Philippines in harnessing the potential of the Philippine
tourism industry.
The Luzon Conference and Consultative Meeting, a consultative
meeting with various stakeholders, aims to update concerned people from the
industry on the National Tourism Development Plan; share the ADB-CIDA Program
on Improving Competitiveness in Tourism and the programs and developments from
the respective Regional Coordinating Council in Tourism; generate awareness as
well as readiness for the ASEAN Integration in 2015; and give updates on the
various convergence projects and programs of the different member government
agencies with the Tourism Coordinating Council.
With the theme PHILIPPINES: Global Competitiveness in Tourism, the
event is supported by various influential individuals from the tourism industry
including the Department of Tourism through Secretary Ramon R. Jimenez Jr. and
DOT Undersecretaries Daniel G. Corpuz and Victoria V. Jasmin; National Competitiveness
Council Philippines Private Sector Co-Chairman, Mr. Guillermo Luz; representatives
from Luzon Development Councils, Airport Authority, DPWH, DOTC, BID & DFA,
and DOLE; and Enchanted Kingdom President and CEO, and currently 1st Vice
Chairman of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions,
Mr. Mario O. Mamon.
The Luzon Conference and Consultative Meeting will be on May 22,
2013, at the Eldar’s Tent, Enchanted Kingdom, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Registration
